About Us

The Ohio-Israel Chamber is a statewide non-profit economic development organization created in 1996 to facilitate business between Ohio and Israel. The Chamber is also an enterprise solutions provider that works to create collaborative relationships between companies seeking to commercialize technologies. The OICC works with these companies to identify and locate technologies that are complementary to their core products thereby helping to increase product sales and opportunities for commercial success. More recently the OICC has been concentrating its efforts on the life sciences, IT, and advanced manufacturing areas due its emergence as a major opportunity for regional growth and development in Ohio.

Since its creation, the Chamber has helped organize and hosted the largest overseas trade mission to come to Ohio, worked with Israeli and local companies to facilitate business, matched Israeli businesses with Ohio counterparts and facilitated multi-national joint ventures. In all it has worked with over 500 companies to create business opportunities and has undertaken consulting assignments for Fortune 500 companies in the areas of innovative technology transfer and commercialization.

Its extensive databases, access to key government and industry leaders, familiarity with high technology sectors, emerging products and markets, unique matchmaking services and customized overseas trade missions have combined to make the OICC one of the most successful organizations of its type in the US. Its business forums provide networking opportunities, timely information, sales leads and important contacts.

The Chamber Board of Trustees includes representatives of many Ohio Fortune 500 and other prestigious corporations who contribute financial, administrative and technical support. As a result, the Chamber is able to draw on the vast resources, expertise and assistance these companies offer as part of their involvement in the Chamber.

The Chamber has worked closely with the Israel Export Institute, Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, BIRD Foundation, Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, US Embassy, Commercial Section as well as many of Israel's trade organizations, academic and medical institutions and companies thereby contributing to its experience and familiarity with Israel's business climate.
