Consulting Services and Accomplishments

Since its establishment the Chamber has successfully completed a number of consulting assignments including locating technologies, matchmaking, facilitating joint strategic partnerships and arranging overseas-customized business missions.

Most recently the OICC has become actively involved with area life science companies, medical institutions, university faculty engaged in R&D and venture capital firms seeking potential investment opportunities. The OICC has worked with the Cleveland Clinic to identify new surgical simulation devices, with Marconi Medical (Phillips) and Trek Diagnostics to assist in acquisition activities; undertook a major consulting assignment for Avery Dennison; worked with Steris Corporation to locate specific product technologies; with Quark BioTech and Symbionix to obtain funding from the BIRD Foundation and other financing resources, and Shamir Optical to assist its marketing efforts in the US, for example.

Under the auspices of the Chamber's Economic Institute, over 13 educational forums, events and programs designed to inform Ohio businesses of the advantages of doing business with Israeli companies have been presented.
